White Plains YMCA Hosts Healthy Kids Day WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains YMCA hosted Healthy Kids Day and the event attracted more than 100 familes. The free event featured healthy treats from Lola Granola bars, free fingerprinting from New York Life, a Scholastic book fair, family friendly physical activities and games, and a swag bag full of goodies including a full first aid kit from White Plains Hospital Center. Families were also treated to a special visit from representatives of the NY Knicks D-league, whose home court will be in Westchester County Center this fall.

Fairfield, Southport Runners Tackle Boston Marathon For CT Challenge FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield’s Keri O’Neill and Southport’s John Barlow were among five runners who supported the CT Challenge in last week's Boston Marathon. The runners have raised nearly $25,000 with donations still being received for their efforts. DeBalsi won the race in 9:34.57, edging runner-up Hannah Christen of Virginia by three seconds. Regan Rome of Pennsylvania was third in 9:37.71.
