Sprint Event Added To Triathlon In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. -- A sprint triathlon has been added to the Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon race weekend in June. The new race will take place along with the seventh annual Olympic-distance Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon on Sunday, June 22. The fourth annual Navigators Stamford KIC IT Kids Triathlon takes place the day before, on Saturday, June 21. All three triathlons will benefit Kids in Crisis. The new USAT-sanctioned race will start with the 0.8k (0.5 mile) swim at Cummings Beach in Stamford. It will follow the same (but shorter) pattern of the Olympic Triathlon swim. The …

Sister Agnes Cazale, 91, Maryknoll missioner OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sister Agnes Cazale, a native of New Orleans and a Maryknoll missioner and catechist in China for more than 50 years, died April 8, at Maryknoll Sisters Home Care IV, in Ossining. She was 91 years old and had been a Maryknoll sister for 70 years. Sister Agnes was born on Jan. 30, 1923 in New Orleans to Philip P. and Henrietta Lassus Cazale, She entered Maryknoll from St. Matthew’s Parish in, Riverridge, La., on Sept. 7, 1943, and received the religious name, Sister Maria Petra, at her reception into the community. Greenwich Marlins Set State Records At YMCA Championships GREENWICH, Conn. -- The YMCA of Greenwich Marlins swim team broke several state records at the Connecticut State Age Group Championships at Wesleyan University in Middletown. The meet featured more than 50 teams. And 51 swimmers from the Marlins, ages 9 to 18, competed in the event. Cancer Hits Home For Westport Runner In Boston Marathon WESTPORT, Conn. – This year’s Boston Marathon, just the third attempt at the 26.2-mile distance for Westport’s Brett Katzner, will be his most rewarding. Katzner will run the race on Monday, April 21, to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston.
