Students In Greenwich School Pinch Pennies For Leukemia & Lymphoma Society GREENWICH, Conn. – Students at Parkway School in donated more than $3,000  to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) after a Pennies For Patients collection last month. The children donated $3,728.92 by collecting change and money under couch cushions, jacket pockets and cars. They collected the money from Jan. 27-Feb. 7. Parkway is for students in preschool through Fifth-Grade. Students in the fourth-grade class of Kristin Marchetti collected the most cash and were to be rewarded with a pizza party. Staples Runner Wins New Englands, Soars To Top Of U.S. Charts WESTPORT, Conn. – Staples High School sophomore Hannah DeBalsi isn’t content just by winning races any more. She’s smashing records in the process, too. DeBalsi won the 2-mile run Saturday at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston. She won in 10:12.95, smashing the previous record of 10:30.55 set in 2010 by Glastonbury’s Lindsay Crevoiserat. DeBalsi’s time is the best at the distance in the United States this winter.
