Three Candlelight Concerts Planned By Norwalk High School NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk High School’s winter concert, Candlelight, will be performed multiple times this holiday season. The performances will be Dec. 16 to 18, all beginning at 8 p.m. Candlelight is the oldest high school winter concert in New England. It began in the 1930s and has been performed every year except for two years during World War II, when regulations prevented the concert from being performed. All 600-plus Norwalk High music students perform with the orchestra, chorus or band. Doors close at 7:50 p.m. and guests should make plans to be on time. Parking is available at…

Darien Family Makes Strides In Girl's Fight Against Arthritis DARIEN, Conn. – Until this spring, Erin Edgar of Darien danced, took karate lessons and enjoyed the typical activities of an 11-year-old girl. But doctors diagnosed her with arthritis in June, and the young girl and her family have been fighting back ever since. Erin will join her family, including her mother Dawn and father Pat, in Saturday’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis in Purchase, N.Y. Darien's State Championship Football Game Moved To Stamford FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Starting times for the state championship football games involving Darien, New Canaan and Fairfield Prep were changed Thursday morning due to a forecast for snow this weekend. Darien and New Canaan will now play for the Class L championship on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Boyle Stadium in Stamford. Darien Girls Help Synchronized Skating Team Win Gold DARIEN, Conn. – Two girls from Darien competed for the Skyliners Beginner team that won a gold medal Saturday at the Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Open in Stamford. Lily Hudson and Ivey Rao skated on the winning team for the Skyliners, whose teams also won the Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile competitions. Skyliners took second in the Preliminary Division. Skyliners represent the Springdale Figure Skating Club in Stamford and the Skating Club of New York. The team has nine competitive lines with 176 skaters ranging in ages from 9 to 23. Bartender At Fairfield Restaurant Spearheads Toy Drive FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Mary Sappelli organized her first toy drive seven years ago at Archie Moore’s in Fairfield.
