Katonah's Cultural Connections Come Together For Unique Tour KATONAH, N.Y. – Three cultural institutions in Katonah collaborated earlier this month to bring community awareness for each organization.  It just may be the beginning of a paradigm shift in which all of them will work together in the years ahead. The Katonah Museum of Art, John Jay Homestead and Caramoor held the “Portrait Tour of Katonah’s Cultural Gems," a day-long event on Nov. 5 that showcased each destination. The afternoon ended with a tour of the Katonah Museum of Art’s (KMA) exhibition “Eye to I: 3,000 Years of Portraits.”  Caramoor is lending two art works to the KMA exhibition. …

21-Year-Old Driver Arrested In Connection With Death Of Weston Cyclist WESTON, Conn. – A 21-year-old New Milford man was arrested late Tuesday in connection with the accident that killed Weston cyclist Thomas Steinert-Threlkeld in October, police said. Alexander Scott Lee faces charges of evading responsibility for a fatal accident, making an improper left turn and tampering with evidence, according to Bethel police. The accident occurred at the intersection of Route 302 and Old Hawleyville Road in Bethel on Oct. 20. Fairfield Team Honored As Top Fundraiser In CT Challenge FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Connecticut Challenge honored its Road Warriors and top 20 fundraising teams for 2013 at a recent reception at the CT Challenge Center for Survivorship in Fairfield. Each Road Warrior commits to raising at least $3,000 to support the CT Challenge bike ride and most participate on teams, as do 85 percent of all riders. New Canaan's Whirlwind Diving Wins Opening Meet NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The Whirlwind Diving Team, which is based at the New Canaan YMCA, won the team championship at its first event of the season. Competing at the Lords of the Boards Autumn Classic in  New Jersey, Whirlwind won the team title with 455 points. West Chester Diving of Pennsylvania was second with 437.   The meet featured 17 teams from four states, and Whirlwind  took 25 divers to the  event.
