Redding Teen Wins Australian Figure Skating Championship REDDING, Conn. – Redding's Brooklee Han won her first Australian Senior Ladies figure skating title and posted a personal best score early Friday in Melbourne. Now, she has to await word on whether she will be allowed to represent the country in the Winter Olympics in Sochi in February. Han, 18, posted a score of 161.42 points to win the competition easily. While the mark is a personal best, it was not attained in an International Skating Union event, so is not an “official” record. Barlow Football Team Looks To Slow Down St. Joseph REDDING, Conn. – Joel Barlow High School's football team has shown the capacity to score points this season. The problem for the Falcons is that there opponent on Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Class M semifinals, St. Joseph High School, can score in bunches as well. New Canaan Football Team Plays North Haven Saturday NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan’s football team lost for the first time this season on Thanksgiving. Judging from the response in its win in the state tournament on Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Rams did not like the feeling. The Rams, seeded third in the Class L tournament, blitzed No. 6 Farmington, 46-0.
