Realtors Report Rising Home Prices In Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Fairfield County Realtors say they have not seen the double-digit yearly gains in home prices reflected in the Case-Shiller Index released Tuesday. But area homes are moving, and prices are escalating, Realtors said, which are encouraging signs for homeowners. Tuesday’s report showed that existing home prices in 20 U.S. metropolitan areas increased 12.1 percent from the same month last year. Westchester Real Estate Prices Gain, But Lag Behind U.S. Trend WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Existing home prices surged more than 12 percent in a one-year period ending in April, but the increase in Westchester County and New York prices was far lower. Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Index, which was released this week, showed a 12.1 percent increase for 12 months ending in April for existing homes in 20 United States metropolitan areas.
