New Canaan, Westport Runners Head To Dream Mile FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. --  New Canaan’s James Randon and Westport’s Henry Wynne have been selected to compete in the Dream Mile at the Adidas Grand Prix track and field meet in New York on May 25. Randon runs for Middlesex in Massachusetts, while Wynne runs for Staples High School. Wynne and Randon raced once before this year in the New Balance Indoor Nationals in March. Wynne won the race, and Randon finished fifth. Wynne ended the indoor season with the top time in the country at the 1-mile distance. Norwalk's Eileen Ornousky Earns All-Academic Honor At Colgate NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Eileen Ornousky, a former three-sport standout at Trinity Catholic in Stamford, has been named the Patriot League All-Academic team for softball. She is a junior at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. Ornousky, a history major, has a 3.32 grade-point average. She played in 31 games for Colgate, and had nine multi-hit games. She also had 16 RBIs and cracked three doubles. Colgate teammate Emmie Dolfi also made the all-academic team. Colgate plays Lehigh on Thursday in the first round of the Patriot League tournament. Morning sessions will feature a 12-and-under camp, and afternoon sessions will be a camp for players ages 12 to 17. Children in the 12-and-under camp will use the 10-and-under tennis format with age appropriate equipment and court sizes. Greenwich Swimmer Hazlett Erases Team Records GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich’s Kate Hazlett, a 12-year-old student at Greenwich Academy, took down two longstanding records of the Greenwich YMCA Dolphins during a sensational finish to the indoor swimming season. Hazlett erased a mark set by Chantal Rawn in 1991 in the 50-yard freestyle, swimming 24.68 in the USA Swimming Eastern Short Course Zone championships in March.
