Proceeds from the event support the Human Services Council and its five programs: Chidlren’s Connection, Dr. Robert E. Appleby School Based Health Center, Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition, Norwalk Mentor Program and 40 South Main Street Supportive Housing. Stamford Zumbathon Planned To Help Women In Cambodia STAMFORD, Conn. – A Zumbathon to support WAVE (Women Against Violence Everywhere), will be held May 18 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Stamford. White Plains Chelsea is coached by Alejandro Galeano and plays in the Westchester Youth Soccer League Division 1. It is also undefeated in the New York Club Soccer League, Premier League Division 2. Swim Across America In Stamford Scheduled For June 22 STAMFORD AND GREENWICH, Conn. – Swim Across America will host an open water swim on June 22. The race begins in Stamford and travels to Greenwich. Proceeds benefit the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, which is the nation’s only foundation dedicated exclusively to funding cancer gene therapy research. Swim distances are one half mile, 1.5 miles, three miles and five miles. There are also volunteer opportunities for boaters, kayakers and land support.
