Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

The blaze broke out shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at a marina off the 500 block of Route 70 in Brick Township, initial reports said. There were no injuries reported. Jersey Shore Officer Arrested On Burglary, Assault Charges A Jersey Shore police officer has been arrested on several charges including burglary, authorities said. Dylan J. Keenan-Hannum, 30, of the Del Haven section of Middle Township, was charged Sunday with burglary, simple assault and making terroristic threats, according to the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office. South Jersey Man Struck By 2 Cars Dies A 45-year-old pedestrian was killed when he tried to cross a busy five-lane highway in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred on Friday at 8:29 p.m, in the 700 block of Mullica Hill Road (Route 322), according to Harrison Township police.  John M. NJ Transit IDs Man Killed By Light Rail Train Authorities have identified the man killed by a New Jersey Transit River Line light rail train.  Denis Javier Mencia Sanchez, 30, of  Riverside Township in Burlington County was struck at about 10:40 p.m. Friday near the Wood Lane grade crossing, Burlington County, according to New Jersey Transit spokesman Everett Merrill.  New Jersey Transit and Edgewater Park police responded to the scene. There were no passengers aboard at the time of the fatal crash since the train was not in service, Merrill said. New Jersey Transit police are leading the investigation.

Authorities ID Man Shot, Killed In South Jersey Authorities have identified the 41-year-old man who was shot and killed in South Jersey. The shooting occurred at 914 North Main St. in Pleasantville, at 9:19 a.m. Saturday.
