A 3-year-old boy was hospitalized after running into the side of a moving SUV on Long Island, Suffolk County Police announced on Sunday, Nov. 16.
The child had just been taken out of a parked car on Douglass Street in Brentwood by his mother, Tatiana Correa, when he ran across the street, stopped, and then sprinted back into the side of an eastbound 2015 Land Rover Discovery driven by Kelly Benavides, 50, on Saturday, Nov. 15 at around 5 p.m., according to police.

Arrests Made In Linden Wendy’s Shooting That Wounded Mom In Front Of Her Kids, Police Say
Two men have been arrested in connection with a Wendy’s shooting that left a 35-year-old Elizabeth mother wounded while her two young children sat in the back seat, police said.
The shooting happened on the evening of Sept. 15 in the parking lot of the Wendy’s on the 700 block of South Wood Avenue, Linden Police Chief David Hart said.
Jevan Carrie, 19, and Jeyrin Munoz, 18, both of Linden, “conspired to fire multiple shots at a vehicle parked in a parking lot on the 700 block of S. Wood Ave.”
