Carl Richards pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the death of George Mott, 64, on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. Per the terms of a plea agreement, he faces 30 years in prison, authorities said.

Matthew Almontes, 39, was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the Wednesday, Aug. 12, New Haven homicide, police said.
Tisha Marinoccio, 42, called New Haven police just after 3:30 p.m. to say Almontes had stabbed her before running out of her sixth-floor apartment with the knife, authorities said. Almontes also lived in the 358 Orange St. apartment building.
