A Harrisburg man accused of fatally stabbing his son inside the River Plaza Apartments has been arrested, authorities announced on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Douglas Steven Spearman, 49, was taken into custody by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police and the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday following a two-day search, according to police.
Spearman is charged with murder, evading arrest or detention on foot, and possession of an instrument of a crime after the stabbing on the 2300 block of North Front Street late Monday, Oct. 6, investigators said.

Man Kills Brother During Fight At Inwood Home, Police Say
A fight between two brothers turned deadly on Long Island, police said.
Officers responded to an Inwood residence on Wahl Avenue at around 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, for an altercation, according to Nassau County Police. They found a 52-year-old man unresponsive with visible blunt force trauma.
Investigators determined that the man had been involved in a violent domestic incident with his brother, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
