A drunk driver crashed another car on Long Island and fled the scene, then lied to cops after they caught up with him on Wednesday morning, May 13, police said.
Ivan Wilmer Leon, 43, was arrested following the crash on Sunrise Highway and a traffic stop in Sag Harbor, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Cops responded around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a hit-and-run wreck on the highway, authorities said. Officers then located the suspect vehicle and pulled it over in Sag Harbor.

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, officers responded to Parker Avenue and Orchard Road after a bicyclist, later identified as John Speck, had been struck and dragged by a light colored SUV that fled the scene, continuing southbound on Fernwood Avenue, still dragging the bicycle, Maplewood police said.
