Police ID 87-Year-Old Man Killed Crossing Intersection In Virginia
An 87-year-old Reston man well known to the community has died from his injuries after being struck by a Mercedes while walking near a busy Fairfax County intersection, police say. Peter McCandless has been identified by investigators as the man struck attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Reston Parkway near Market Street earlier this week.
