Pedestrian, 69, Seriously Hurt After Being Struck In Carle Place: Police
A 69-year-old man was seriously injured after he was struck by a car on Long Island, police said.
The crash happened on Glen Cove Road at the intersection of Old Country Road in Carle Place at 8:50 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, the Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives said.
The man was hit by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 62-year-old man, detectives said.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
The driver remained at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
