An armed home invasion and shooting left one person injured before dawn Tuesday, March 10 in Rochelle Park, authorities said.
Rochelle Park police responded to a home on Howard Avenue at approximately 3 a.m., after receiving a report of an active home invasion with shots fired, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
Responding officers determined that there had been forced entry into the home, Musella said. Police found one injured victim, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, treated, and later released, according to the prosecutor.

A viral video showing a chaotic brawl inside a West Hartford Chipotle has led to criminal charges against two customers accused of attacking workers, authorities said.
Imani Joseph, 26, of Ansonia, and Chad McKoy, 26, of Waterbury, were taken into custody Thursday for the brawl that happened on Dec. 13, 2025, at the Chipotle restaurant at 1457 New Britain Ave., police said.

Detectives charged Gerson Mendoza-Rodriguez, 19, of Hicksville, and a 17-year-old Huntington Station teen in connection with the killing of Justin Alfaro-Avila, 29, who was fatally stabbed on Lowndes Avenue in Huntington Station, according to Suffolk County police.

Glastonbury Teen, 15, Dies Weeks After Car Crash: 'His Warmth, Kindness Touched Everyone'
A 15-year-old boy who was critically injured in a three-car crash last month has died from his injuries at an area hospital, with his family by his side.
Dillon Dupuis, a sophomore at Glastonbury High School, and another teenager suffered catastrophic injuries in the Oct. 24 wreck on Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, police said. Dupuis had remained in the hospital ever since.
