Officers from the 22nd District responded to the 2000 block of North Bambrey Street at approximately 9:12 p.m. for a report of a suspicious, unattended Dodge Charger, according to police. Responders rushed to the 900 block of Briarwood Avenue in Bridgeport just after 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, when callers reported a man on the ground who was not responding. Police said the 32-year-old rider hit the curb, struck a tree, and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation.
