Increasing Clouds Could Bring Storms, Flooding To New Canaan FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The sky will become increasingly cloudy across Fairfield County on Thursday ahead of a couple days of rain, with some flooding possible Thursday night. The day will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of precipitation on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Low pressure will bring increasing chances of rain from the west to the east through the afternoon and evening. Trumbull First Responders Rescue Injured Cyclist TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Trumbull first responders rescued an injured cyclist at the Pequonnock River Valley on Wednesday. At around 4:30 p.m. the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company, with assistance from the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company, the Trumbull Police Department and Trumbull Emergency Medical Services, were dispatched for an injured cyclist off the main trails. First arriving police, fire and EMS units found the cyclist and packaged him for transport. Fire units used the Long Hill Polaris for final removal of the cyclist from the valley.
