2 Women Charged In Shoplifting Spree At 6 Danbury Mall Stores DANBURY, Conn. — Two Bridgeport women were arrested last week for stealing more than 70 items from six different stores at the Danbury Fair Mall, according to police. Police were called to the mall on a larceny complaint at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26. When they arrived, they met with Mall Security, who had the two women in custody. The women were identified as 31-year-old Shanan Jordan and 29-year-old Dorothy Freelove. Police said that Jordan and Freelove had stolen the items from several stores, including Pac Sun, Victoria's Secret and Forever 21. In all, the items were worth more …

Traffic Fences, Stop Sign Damaged In Darien DARIEN, Conn. — Somebody apparently drove into a fence and stop sign on Kensett Lane in Darien at some point over the weekend. At around 8 a.m. on Monday, a resident of Kensett Lane reported that two traffic fences and a stop sign had been struck and damaged on the Kensett property. Police said the damage was consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The cost to repair the damage to the sign and gates is unknown, and officers are following up with property management. There are no suspects at this time, police said.
