Greenwich Man Charged With Threatening Another Man With Knife GREENWICH, Conn. — A Greenwich man was charged with threatening to kill another man while holding a knife, according to Greenwich Time. Police responded to North Water Street at around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday and reported that 42-year-old Eric Schnaer had threatened the other man while brandishing a knife, Greenwich Time reported. Schnaer was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, threatening and breach of peace, according to Greenwich Time. His bail was set at $500. Heat Continues Friday Before Weekend Cool Down In New Canaan FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents will have to put up with one more day of above normal temperatures on Friday before it cools down over the weekend. Man Injured In Shooting On Orchard Street In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A man was injured after being shot on Orchard Street in Norwalk late Thursday night, according to police. Police responded to the area of 33 Orchard St. at 11:50 p.m. after receiving multiple calls reporting shots fired. A short time later, Norwalk Hospital reported that a man had arrived suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound, police said. Norwalk Man Accused Of Stealing $31K In Ralph Lauren Clothing Goes Free NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man who has been in jail for eight months since he was arrested on charges of stealing more than $31,000 in items from a Ralph Lauren in Greenwich was granted a suspended sentence and probation, according to the Stamford Advocate. Andre Fowler, 23, had been arrested in July in connection with a Jan. 13, 2016, incident in which he is accused of working with three women to steal items worth a total of $31,485, according to the Stamford Advocate. Norwalk Man Charged With Walking Around Outside Naked NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested after police received a report that he was walking around outside naked and touching himself, according to the Hour. Police responded to Cottage Street Wednesday night at around 11 p.m. and met with a neighbor who told them that Nelson Velez, 45, had been walking up and down the driveway touching himself, and then ran off when the cops showed up, the Hour reported. Thousands Without Power In Greenwich Update: As of 9 p.m., only about a dozen customers were without power in Greenwich, Eversource said. GREENWICH, Conn. -- Thousands of people were without power in the Glenville and Byram areas of Greenwich Thursday afternoon. As of 5:15 p.m., a total of 3,824 Eversource customers were without power, representing 14 percent of all customers in town. While the cause of the outage was not immediately apparent, Eversource said they were aware of the outage and had crews heading out to restore service. The time of restoration was unknown.

Bridgeport Officer Who Shot Teen Sued For November Incident BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport police officer who fatally shot a 15-year-old last week during a stolen car investigation is being sued by someone who claims the officer broke his nose during a televised arrest last year, according to the Connecticut Post.
