On the morning of March 4, 2013, 44-year-old Kevin Murphy of Darien was struck and killed by a train at the Noroton Heights train station in Darien. Francisco Ortiz was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was released on a $35,000 bond, and will appear in court on April 26. The arrest stems from an incident that took place at a Church Street apartment on Feb. 7, 2004 when Ortiz was 79, according to police.
