Stamford Teen Attacked With Brass Knuckles In Elementary School Parking Lot STAMFORD, Conn. — A teen brought brass knuckles and a machete to ambush and assault another teen in the parking lot of an elementary school in Stamford Wednesday night, according to the Stamford Advocate. The attack happened in the parking lot of Julia A. Stark Elementary School at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate. Westport Police: Whole Foods Employee Used Fake Transactions To Steal WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman was charged with creating fake transactions to steal money from the Westport Whole Foods where she worked, according to police. Westport Police responded to the Whole Foods on Post Road West in December on a larceny complaint. They were told that an employee, 20-year-old Shamonie Gibson of Bridgeport, had been creating fake transactions and returning funds into her own personal account, police said. Blood Links Mass. Man To Decade-Old Greenwich Burglary GREENWICH, Conn. — A Massachusetts man was charged with breaking into a Greenwich home more than 10 years ago after police linked his DNA to blood left at the scene, according to Greenwich Time. Coyote Attacks On Dogs On The Rise In Weston WESTON, Conn. — A number of Weston dogs have been attacked by coyotes in the past week, including one incident in which a woman was attacked while trying to intervene, according to the Weston Forum. Animal control told the Weston Forum that the woman went outside her Overbrook Lane home Friday to help one of her dogs, which was being attacked by a coyote, when the coyote turned on her. Westport Cops: Contractor Arrested — Again — For Taking Payment For No Work WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Police arrested a contractor for the third time this year after a resident complained that they hired the man but he did not do any work. A resident of North Avenue reported on Feb. 16 that he had hired Jeffrey Chirillo, 36, of Milford, to do work on his home, police said. Chirillo is the head of Chirillo Contracting. The victim said that Chirillo agreed to do the work for $1,895, and that he paid Chirillo $1,365 on Oct. 2 as a deposit for the work, according to police. Trumbull 2-Year-Old Falls From Second-Story Condo Window TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Trumbull toddler was taken to the hospital after falling out of a second-story condominium window Tuesday evening, police said. The incident took place at the Woodland Hills Condominium complex at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police said. State To Replace Signs On Merritt From Greenwich To Stratford — For $6M FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The signs on the historic Merritt Parkway are about to get a $6 million upgrade. The Connecticut Department of Transportation is undertaking a project to replace signs along the Merritt from the Connecticut/New York border in Greenwich to just beyond the Stratford/Milford town line. Teen Charged With Stealing Car In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. -- A teen stole a car before leading police on a chase and crashing it in Stratford Monday evening, according to the Stratford Star.
