Police: Man Followed Woman From Darien To Fairfield Rest Stop FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A man was charged with following a New York woman from the I-95 rest stop in Darien to the one in Fairfield, according to the Connecticut Post. Police told the Connecticut Post that Awad Awad, 31, of New Britain first encountered the 37-year-old woman at the I-95 northbound rest stop Wednesday. Young Female Pitbull Dumped Near Merritt In Westport Looks For New Home WESTPORT, Conn. -- A young female pit bull named Marilyn is looking for a new home after being left tied to a sign off the Merritt Parkway in Westport.Marilyn was found after a previous owned left her tied to the sign at exit 41, and was brought to Westport Animal Control. Bullet Holes Discovered In Side Of Home On Christy Street In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — A home and car windows on Christy Street were shot numerous times Monday night, according to the Hour. The bullet holes in the side of the house were discovered by a resident around 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Hour reported. Norwalk police and the Crime Scene Unit arrived on scene and discovered numerous bullet holes and shell casings on the ground, according to the Hour. 63-Year-Old Man Charged In Fatal Crash In Bridgeport Last June BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 63-year-old Bridgeport man has been charged in connection with a June crash that left one person dead, according to NBC Connecticut. David Henshaw was charged Wednesday with second-degree manslaughter and misconduct with a motor vehicle, NBC Connecticut reported. Greenwich Officer Honored For Apprehending Career Criminals GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Police Officer Ryan Beattie has had a busy month, arresting career criminals and earning himself Officer of the Month honors.On three separate incidents, Beattie located and apprehended a total of eight career criminals, police said. Norwalk Officers Honored For Saving The Life Of Suicidal Resident NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Police Department honored two of its members recently for saving the life of a suicidal person. Officer Tyrone Boyd and Officer Shoubert Paulemon were named the February 2017 Norwalk Police Department Officers of the Month. Bridgeport Man Sentenced To 50 Years In Prison For 2010 Murder BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A Bridgeport man was sentenced to 50 years in prison in connection with the shooting death of another man on a playground in 2010, according to the Connecticut Post. Billy Ray "BJ" Williams was arrested in 2015 and charged with murder in connection with the June 21, 2010 homicide of Michael Williams.
