Dog Killed In Coyote Attack In Darien, Police Urge Caution DARIEN, Conn. -- In the past two weeks two small dogs have been attacked by coyotes in Darien, including one who was killed, and Darien police are warning residents to take precautions. The two attacks on dogs were reported in the northern section of Darien, and the Darien Police Department and the Municipal Animal Control Officer have received several recent reports from residents about coyote sightings and attacks on pets, police said. Norwalk Police Attempt To Identify Man Found Dead On Shea Island In 1996 NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are seeking the public's help in obtaining DNA that could be useful to identify a man who was found dead on Shea Island in 1996.The man's body was discovered on the north shore of Shea Island the evening of April 18, 1996 by a husband and wife who were camping on the island, police said. Detectives ferried out to the island and the body was removed to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Police Investigate Woman's Death At Norwalk Hospital Parking Garage NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are investigating an untimely death at the Norwalk Hospital parking garage. Police said Monday afternoon that a 64-year-old woman was seen jumping off the third story of the parking garage at about 2:15 p.m. in an apparent suicide. The parking garage was closed for much of the afternoon.

Metro-North Blames Disabled Maintenance Vehicle For Lengthy Monday Delays FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The heavy delays customers experienced on Metro North during rush hour Monday morning were due to a maintenance vehicle that became disabled on the tracks in the vicinity of Melrose, Metro North announced. A contractor's high rail vehicle, which can operate on both railroad tracks and a conventional road, became disabled as it slowly passed through a a critical interlocking. Disabled Train Near Fordham Delays Metro North Line FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Trains on the Metro North New Haven line are experiencing delays of between 40 and 50 minutes due to a disabled train in the vicinity of the Fordham station. Tampa Woman Indicted For Making Death Threats Against Sandy Hook Parent NEWTOWN, Conn. -- A Florida woman who believes the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax has been indicted for making death threats against a parent of one of the victims, officials announced Wednesday.
