Horses Seized In Redding Neglect Case Offered Up For Adoption REDDING, Conn. -- Two horses seized in a 2014 neglect case in Redding are among several that are being offered for adoption by the Department of Agriculture. All the horses have been placed in the Department of Agriculture custody through investigations by the agency's Animal Control Division. The horses have been cleared to move to new homes with individuals or organizations, and are up to date with vaccinations and have been implanted with a microchip. Norwalk Police Release New Photos Of 'Scream' Bank Robber, Getaway Car NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police released new surveillance photos in an effort to catch the person who robbed a bank on Dec. 6 while wearing a mask from the movie "Scream." The person entered First County Bank on Main Street at 2:08 p.m. and with a deep voice told the teller to "give me all the money in your drawer." Stamford Man Charged With Firing Back At Gunman In Saturday Shooting STAMFORD, Conn. -- One man was injured in a shooting in Stamford Saturday and his friend was arrested after returning fire at the shooter, according to the Stamford Advocate. Suspects In Stamford Delivery Man Robbery Tried To Hide In Pond STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two 16-year-olds tried to hide from Stamford police by jumping into Holly Pond after robbing a delivery man with a BB gun Sunday, according to the Connecticut Post. A witness reported seeing three masked people rob the delivery man at around 3:40 p.m. and run away, the Connecticut Post reported. Minutes later the delivery man called police to report the robbery. Fairfield Firefighters Rescue Dog From Ice-Covered Pond FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield firefighters leapt into action and braved the elements Monday morning to rescue a dog who had become trapped on an ice-covered pond. Fairfield Emergency Communications Center received a call at 10:41 a.m. from a resident on Robert Lane who reported that his dog was stuck on the ice. Unemployment Falls To 4.7% As Connecticut Adds 2,100 Jobs In November FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Connecticut's unemployment rate fell to its lowest point since October 2007 as the state added 2,100 non-farm jobs in November, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The state's unemployment fell in November by four-tenths of a percent to 4.7 percent, which is still slightly higher than the national average of 4.6 percent. The BLS had initially reported that Connecticut had lost 7,200 non-farm jobs in October, but has adjusted that number to 5,800.
