Car Burglaries In Darien Believed To Be Work Of Nationwide Gang DARIEN, Conn. -- A number of purses were stolen from cars during a series of smash-and-grab burglaries at Cherry Lawn Park in Darien last week, police said. Police received a report on Oct. 31 at around 2:45 p.m. that four cars had been broken into at the park and purses had been stolen.
