Tesei Wins Fifth Term In Greenwich First Selectman Race GREENWICH, Conn. — Peter Tesei won re-election in Greenwich's race for first selectman on Tuesday.A total of 10,208 voters cast ballots, 33.67 percent of the town's 30,318 eligible voters, according to the registrar of voters. Republican Tesei received 5,768 votes in Tuesday's election, defeating Democratic challenger Frank Farricker, who received 2,055 votes, and petitioning candidate James C. Mallozzi Re-Elected First Selectman In New Canaan NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Robert E. Mallozzi III has won re-election in Tuesday's race for first selectman of New Canaan, according to News 12. Republican Mallozzi received 91 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results posted by News 12. He defeated petitioning candidate Michael J. Nowacki, who received 9 percent. Stevenson Wins Re-Election In Darien First Selectman Race DARIEN, Conn. — Jayme Stevenson won re-election in the race for first selectman of Darien in Tuesday's election, according to the Darien Times. Republican incumbent Stevenson won her third term as first selectman, defeating unaffiliated challengers Rob Werner and Chris Noe. Stevenson's running mates Susan Marks and Kip Koons both won spots on the Board of Selectman along with Democrats Marc Thorne and Rob Richards, according to the Darien Times. Ganim Claims Victory In Field Of Seven Seeking Top Spot In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Democratic candidate Joe Ganim has declared victory in Tuesday's race for mayor of Bridgeport. Westport Woman Denies Playing Role In Murders Of Boyfriend's Parents BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- As the Westport woman charged with taking part in the murder of Jeanette and Jeffrey Navin of Easton appeared in court Monday, her lawyer said she had nothing to do with their deaths. Jennifer Valiante, 31, was handcuffed and shackled as she appeared in a Bridgeport courtroom Monday and did not enter a plea. She is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree hindering prosecution and is held on $2 million bond. Remains Found In Weston Identified As Missing Couple; Woman Arrested WESTON, Conn. -- The remains found in Weston were identified late Friday as missing couple Jeanette and Jeffrey Navin of Easton, State Police said. A Westport woman was arrested in the case, and a warrant has been issued for the couple's 27-year-old son Kyle Navin. The Navins were reported missing from Easton in August. Their remains were discovered in the yard of a home on Norfield Road in Weston on Thursday afternoon and were positively identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner late Friday, state police said. Town Saddened By Deaths As Police Converge In Weston In Navin Investigation WESTON, Conn. – Church bells could be heard chiming the noon hour Friday at the Norfield Congregational Church in Weston as police investigated the area of a nearby home where possible human remains were discovered on Thursday.
