Norwalk Cab Driver Who Called 911 After He Was Stabbed Dies At Hospital NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are investigating the death of a 51-year-old cab driver from Bridgeport who was stabbed early Monday morning on Grove Street in Norwalk. The driver, Jackson Pierre-Louis, called 911 himself shortly after midnight after he had been stabbed multiple times, police said. Officers responded to Grove Street, where he had crashed the cab he was driving into a parked car, police said. Man Charged With DUI In Darien After Hitting Tree DARIEN, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was charged with drunken driving after his truck hit a tree in Darien on Saturday night, police said. Robert Russell, 41, was charged with driving under the influence. He posted $250 bond and will appear in court Dec. 17. Police received reports of an accident on West Norwalk Road near the Post Road at 11:13 p.m. Saturday. Door Smashed But Nothing Taken In Darien Burglary, Police Say DARIEN, Conn. -- A Darien home was broken into last week, although police said it appears nothing was taken in the break-in. The residents of a home on Coachlamp Lane told police that they left their home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, and returned at 11:15 p.m. to find that the rear sliding door had been smashed. Woman Charged With Assaulting Another With Hammer In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A Stamford woman was charged with hitting another woman in the face with a hammer in Norwalk back in October, police said. Sterling Jean, 19, was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She was held on $2,500 bond and will appear in court Dec. 17. Crash Knocks SUV On Its Roof Outside Norwalk Fire Department NORWALK, Conn. -- An SUV rolled over after hitting another car in front of the Norwalk Fire Department on Connecticut Avenue on Friday night, fire officials said. Ansonia Man Charged With Impersonating Contractor In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- An Ansonia man was arrested after he accepted thousands of dollars from a Norwalk family for home improvements without a license and then didn't follow through on doing the work, police said. Police: Norwalk Student Assaulted Classmate While Friend Filmed NORWALK, Conn. -- Two Norwalk High School students were arrested after one attacked a fellow student while the other one filmed the assault, according to police. DNA Match Leads Police To Suspect In Two Burglaries NORWALK, Conn. -- Police arrested a Norwalk man after he was a match with DNA found at two burglaries earlier this year. Ray Flores, 32, was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree larceny and one count of fifth-degree larceny.
