Westport Police Make Arrest In Theft Of Wedding Gifts WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Mansfield man has been arrested in connection with the theft of wedding gifts at the Inn at Longshore in Westport during a wedding reception last month, according to police. Frank A. Burnett, 30, was charged with fourth-degree larceny. He posted $2,000 bond and will appear in court Nov. 17. The theft occurred Oct. 11 when the suspect entered the Inn by posing as a wedding guest and proceeded to steal an ornamental bird cage, which contained congratulatory cards with cash and checks for the bride and groom, police said.
