Bridgeport Man Faces Drug Charges After April Crash In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was arrested by Darien police last week on a warrant stemming from a three-car crash in April, police said. David Howard, 35, was charged with possession of narcotics, operating under the influence, failure to obey a traffic signal and failure to signal. He turned himself in to police Wednesday, June 11, and will appear in court June 23. The accident occurred on April 18 at the corner of Post Road and Ledge Road, police said. Norwalk Students Explore Under The Sea At Maritime Aquarium NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk students got a chance to explore the Maritime Aquarium and learn more about science careers this year through the Dead Reckoners after-school program. The program consisted of 40 students from Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon High School, and lasted throughout the school year. Walk Bridge In Norwalk To Open For Limited River Traffic Saturday NORWALK, Conn. -- The rotating Walk Bridge in Norwalk will be open to river traffic on a limited basis Saturday after being shut down by the U.S. Coast Guard to perform repairs. The 118-year-old rotating bridge over the Norwalk River has malfunctioned twice in recent weeks, causing significant delays for Metro-North trains that travel over the bridge. New Haven Man Charged With Selling Crack To Undercover Cops In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A New Haven man was arrested by Norwalk police Thursday after a months-long investigation into the sale of crack in the city, police said. Thomas Edwards, 51, was charged with multiple counts of possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics, and possession and sale near a school. 5-Year-Old Norwalk Student Loses Part Of Thumb In School Accident NORWALK, Conn. -- A 5-year-old Kendall Elementary School student suffered a partial amputation of his thumb Thursday after getting it caught in a door, Norwalk police said. The incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The school nurse told officers that the boy had shown up in the office holding his bleeding hand, police said. Norwalk Concussion Expert Wants More Education In Youth Leagues NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk concussion expert Katherine Snedaker believes youth sports leagues need to provide more concussion education for coaches and parents. Stamford Man Arrested On Drug Charges In Norwalk After Traffic Stop NORWALK, Conn. -- A Stamford man was arrested on drug charges in Norwalk after he was pulled over for a seatbelt violation, according to police. Nicholas MacDougall, 25, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, possession within 1,500 feet of a school and failure to wear a seatbelt.
