Take A Taste Of Port Chester This Sunday PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- You can sample food from more than 34 restaurants this Sunday during the annual Taste of Port Chester event. Restaurants throughout the downtown area will be offering samples of chef's specials to participants. You can sample the restaurants at your own pace, or free transportation will be provided. Proceeds from the event will benefit Port Chester schools through the Tamarack Tower Foundation. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Marina on Abendroth Avenue. Rye Hosts 2013 Vehicle Fair Sunday RYE, N.Y. -- Kids can ride and explore lots of different cars Sunday when the Rye Free Reading Room hosts the annual Vehicle Fair at Osborn School. In addition to the vehicles there will be games, face painting, entertainment by DJ Anthony Radice, a bouncy house, raffles and a storytime. Food will be provided by Post Road Market and Longford's Ice Cream. The vehicle fair will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $35 per family. Police warn that there will be heavy traffic in the area, and that alternative parking will be available at 555 Theodore Fremd Ave.

Possible Improvements Coming To Westchester County Airport HARRISON, N.Y. – The Westchester County Board of Legislators will vote Monday on improvements to a terminal and taxiway at the Westchester County Airport in Harrison. If the measures are approved, the county would apply for a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for the repairs to Taxiway A. The FAA would pay for $3.26 million of the project, approximately 90 percent of the total cost. Harrison High School To Stage Student Plays Friday HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison High School's Theatre Arts, Acting and IB Theater students will present original student plays at the fourth annual Spring One-Act Festival this Friday. Nine original plays written by students will be showcased. The plays include dramas and comedies ranging from a murder mystery comedy to a drama set in the mind of a comatose boy.
