Man Accused Of Theft From Darien Alzheimer's Patients DARIEN, Conn. - A Norwalk man was charged in the theft of a credit card from an elderly Darien couple who both suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. Police received a complaint from relatives of the couple, saying that the card had been used to pay cell phone bills and make ATM withdrawals. Between October 2011 and May 2012 somebody had made nine cell phone payments totaling $1,182.84 and 36 ATM withdrawals totaling $7,020, police said. Darien Kids Pitch In To Help With Sandy Relief Efforts DARIEN, Conn. — Darien kids jumped into action Friday afternoon to help others affected by Hurricane Sandy. Young volunteers did their part by making lunches and helping to clean up from the storm. The elementary and middle school students were volunteering their time for Kid-to-Kid, a division of Person-to-Person.
