The money will support the Girls' Challenge component of the agency's after school program. Tires, Rims Worth $8K Stolen From Nissan Darien DARIEN, Conn. ? Thieves made off with $8,000 worth of tires and rims stripped from two Maximas at Nissan Darien, police said. Sometime in the overnight hours of Aug. 7 and 8 someone scaled the rear fence and entered the lot, police said. They took all four tires and rims from two 2012 Nissan Maximas. Both cars were resting on plastic crates, and the lug nuts were scattered about, police said. Police: Man Tasered After Trying To Steal Wheels NORWALK, Conn. - One man was shot with a stun gun after he and two other men allegedly tried to steel wheels off a minivan in Norwalk, police said. According to police, a witness saw two or three men at the intersection of Prospect Street and Bedford Avenue trying to take the wheels off a minivan early Wednesday morning. Pump Failure Floods Lower Level Of Darien Library DARIEN, Conn. – A pump failed and caused 2 inches of water to flood the Darien Library’s lower level Sunday. The lower level will reopen Tuesday after final cleanup Monday, officials said. A dual pump failure in the library’s waste water system caused the flood, library staff said.
