Norwalk Drivers Feel Effects Of Rising Gas Prices NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk drivers are feeling the crunch as gas prices continue to climb. As of Monday, only four states in the continental U.S. have higher gas prices than Connecticut. Currently, the national average for regular is $3.62 per gallon, which is 26 cents lower than Connecticut's average of $3.88. The average gas price in Connecticut has risen about six cents in the last week, and 23 cents in the last month. Angel Dorleans was sitting in her home on Hanford Place when she saw two dogs biting a man in the street. The man jumped on her fence and eventually ran up onto her front porch, she said. Darien Custodian Accused Of Grabbing, Breaking Teacher's Arm DARIEN, Conn. – A custodian at Holmes Elementary School in Darien was arrested after a teacher reported that he grabbed her wrist and squeezed it, giving her a hairline fracture, police said. Robert Munro, 44, of Darien, was charged with breach of peace and providing a false statement. The incident occurred in late April, when the teacher she was standing in the school's front foyer and Munro started talking to her, police said.
