Man Charged With Taking Packages Off Darien Porch DARIEN, Conn. – A Hamden man was charged with stealing packages off of a porch in Darien after a home security camera allegedly filmed him in the act, police said. On the afternoon of April 13, police said a resident of Old Kings Highway South reported that two packages totaling $112 in value were taken from the front porch. Police said that the home was equipped with a video surveillance system, which captured images of the person taking the packages. The National Weather Service is predicting it will be hot and humid, and has issued an air quality alert from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high around 89. The heat index will be in the 80s for most of the day, and the humidity will be in the upper-40s. Relief from the heat may come Saturday, when there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. The rain is expected to continue through Sunday night.

Darien School Of Dance To Host Day Of Free Classes DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien School of Dance at the YWCA will host an afternoon of free dance classes on Thursday, July 19.
