Man Charged With Taking Packages Off Darien Porch DARIEN, Conn. – A Hamden man was charged with stealing packages off of a porch in Darien after a home security camera allegedly filmed him in the act, police said. On the afternoon of April 13, police said a resident of Old Kings Highway South reported that two packages totaling $112 in value were taken from the front porch. Police said that the home was equipped with a video surveillance system, which captured images of the person taking the packages. Darien School Of Dance To Host Day Of Free Classes DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien School of Dance at the YWCA will host an afternoon of free dance classes on Thursday, July 19. The classes are a sampling of the school’s fall schedule and are taught by Director Brigita McLeaod and ballet teacher Renee Gregory.
