Two Norwalk Men Assaulted By Men With Clubs NORWALK, Conn. – Two Norwalk men were beaten with bats and sticks on Larsen Street late Sunday night by a group of unknown assailants. Police received a report of the attack from a hysterical-sounding woman. When officers went to the house she was calling from, a man came out with blood on his shirt. He could barely stand, they said, and was taken to Norwalk Hospital for medical attention. Another man came out of the home saying he had been hit on the back with a baseball bat or stick. Two Charged In Rash Of Darien Burglaries DARIEN, Conn. – Two men have been charged in connection with a string of Darien car and home burglaries, police report. Police said the identities of the suspects were obtained from a license plate reader. The reader scanned the plate of a vehicle police said was used to commit 17 car burglaries and two home burglaries on the night of June 17. Fireworks Return To Darien This Weekend DARIEN, Conn. – Darien’s Fourth of July fireworks are once again becoming a yearly tradition. After nearly a decade without them, the fireworks returned last year to great success and will be held again at Darien High School this Sunday.
