Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Person Struck, Killed By Jeep In Shirley Police are investigating after a person was struck and killed by a Jeep on a Long Island roadway. The incident happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday, April 2 in Shirley The victim, a 37-year-old man, was crossing the roadway from west to east in front of 507 William Floyd Parkway when he was hit by the northbound 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Suffolk County Police said. Massive Blaze Breaks Out At Ambulance Company In Freeport Firefighters from dozens of departments spent hours battling a massive blaze at an ambulance company on Long Island. The blaze broke out at around 11:10 a.m. Saturday, April 1 in Freeport at the EAS Ambulance Company located at 30 Commercial St. When responders arrived, the building was fully engulfed and had partially collapsed, according to Nassau County Police. Severe Weather Threat Upgraded For Region: Here's Time Frame For Approaching Thunderstorms The threat of severe weather from an approaching round of thunderstorms has just been upgraded for most of the region. Storm activity is expected from west to east from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
