Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Arrest Made In Murder Of DC Woman, Maryland Dance Teacher A grieving family is closer to justice after the arrest in an October 2020 murder of a D.C. woman. Kavon Jackson, 29, is accused of killing Noelle Wilson, 31, on Oct. 11, 2020 on the 2300 block of Green Street. Southeast and was arrested Thursday, June 9, according to Metropolitan Police. Footage Released In Effort To Identify Suspect In Germantown Theft, Police Say Footage of a suspect who broke into a vehicle and stole a wallet in Germantown last May has been released in an effort to help identify him, authorities say. The suspect broke the rear passenger window to access a wallet that was inside of the vehicle on the 12500 block of Great Park Circle in the overnight hours of May 13, Montgomery County Police say. Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Prince George's Crash The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Prince George's County earlier this month has been identified, authorities say. Fernando Gonzalez y Gonzalez, 19, was struck by a vehicle that was attempting to make a u-turn into his path on the westbound lanes of Cherry Hill Road near Park Drive around 8:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, according to the Prince George's Police Department. Carjacker Who Attacked Driver After Ride Rejection Arrested In White Marsh: Police The man who attacked a driver who declined giving him a lift and then stole his car in White Marsh has been arrested. Charles Hoffman, 35, approached the driver asking for a ride around 3:45 p.m. Sunday June 12 on the 5300 block of Nottingridge Road, Baltimore County police said. Possible Arson Of Pride Flag That Hospitalized Three Probed In Baltimore Three people were sent to the hospital after a suspected arson fire in Baltimore, police say. Flames spread from the flat and damaged at least four homes on the 300 block of E 31st Street around 4:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 15. Search For Missing Boy In Prince George's Intensifies Police are desperately asking for the public's help in finding a boy who went missing in Prince George's County, authorities say. Zion Smith, 12, was last seen on the 7700 block of Shady Glen Drive on the morning of Monday, June 13, according to Prince George's Police. Man Dead After Early Morning Baltimore Shooting A man is dead after a sunrise shooting in Baltimore, authorities say. Officers found the victim after responding to reports of gunshots on the 2200 block of Ashton Street at 6:06 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, according to Baltimore Police. The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
