Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Confessed Fiancée Killer In Baltimore Portrayed Happy Relationship Online The man who police say called 9-1-1 telling dispatchers he shot his fiancée in Baltimore portrayed a happy and loving relationship on social media. George Kuhn, 43, has been charged with murder in the June 12 death of 36-year-old Kristy Helmert on the 6400 block of Erdman Avenue, Baltimore police said. Kuhn contacted authorities around 9:30 that night saying he'd shot his fiancé, later identified by city police as Helmert. Stolen Handgun Recovered In Routine Annapolis Traffic Stop An Annapolis man has been arrested after a routine traffic stop turned up a stolen handgun, authorities say. Donovan Robert Williams, 24, was pulled over for a registration violation in the area of Chesapeake Avenue and Americana drive when officers learned he was driving on a suspended license from another state around 1:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 14 according to Anne Arundel County Police. 100+ Displaced In Bowie Nursing Home Fire More than 100 residents were displaced after an alleged explosion at a nursing home in Bowie, authorities say. Initial reports of an explosion at the facility on the 15000 block of Health Center Drive came in at 3:42 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, according to the Prince George's Fire Department. Scam Artist's Plan Backfires After Millersville Robbery An impersonator's plan was foiled when he was arrested shortly after a Millersville robbery, authorities say. Stephen Ricardo Bennie, 21, was attempting to impersonate a WiFi inspector when he approached the owners of a home on the 600 block of Caracle Court around 2:30 p.m., Monday, June 13, according to Anne Arundel Police. Man Dies Of Injuries Suffered In 2018 Baltimore Shooting A shooting investigation has been upgraded to a homicide after a man died from his injuries nearly four years after being shot, authorities say. Autopsy results revealed that Meshach Daniel Dennis, 37, died on Oct. 14, 2021 from injuries he sustained in a shooting on Jan. 30, 2018, according to Baltimore Police. Dennis was shot in the 4100 block of Groveland Avenue that winter day. Homicide detectives are now investigating this incident. Off-Duty Officer Saves Baltimore Shooting Victim A Baltimore shooting victim has an off duty Baltimore police sergeant to thank for his life. The sergeant was driving in his personal vehicle when he noticed a 31-year-old man slumped over on the 2700 block of West Belvedere Avenue around 1:43 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Carjacking Suspect Leads Pursuit Into Baltimore Construction Site (Developing) Police were searching for a suspect who fled on foot after a pursuit in a stolen vehicle, according to preliminary and unconfirmed reports. The chase allegedly began in the southbound lanes of I-95 before the suspect fled on foot under the I-95 bridge on Ponca Street around 4:30 p.m., the report states. Police Shoot Homicide Suspect During Arrest In Capitol Heights: Police An armed homicide suspect has was arrested after an early morning officer-involved shooting in Capitol Heights, authorities say. Young Children Overdose At Baltimore Home: Report Detectives were investigating how two young children overdosed at a Baltimore home over the weekend, according to reports by CBS 13. A 4- and- 6-year old child were found suffering from an overdose at a home on the 1500 block of McHenry Street in the late night hours of Saturday, June 11, the outlet reports. Victim ID'd In Fatal Head-On Collision In Greenbelt The victim of a fatal crash over the weekend in Greenbelt has been identified, authorities say. Manuel Juarez, 52, was driving westbound on Greenbelt Road when an eastbound vehicle crossed into his lane striking him head-on near Lakecrest Drive around 7:40 a.m., Friday, June 10, according to Prince George's County Police. Juarez was transported to a nearby hospital and succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
