Loretta Soltys Brya, 96, Lifelong Resident Of Garfield
GARFIELD, N.J. -- Loretta Soltys Brya, lifetime resident of Garfield, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015. She was 96.
She was predeceased by her husband, Boles Byra.
Prior to her retirement in 1982, Loretta was a secretary for Arrow Carrier Corporation in North Bergen for 25 years. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Garfield, and also a member of the English Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Asociation of the Sons of Poland in Carlstadt.

Arthur J. Ehrenbeck Sr., 97, Of New Milford
NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Arthur J. Ehrenbeck Sr. of New Milford, died on Saturday, Jan. 2. He was 97.
He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late Anna (nee Brody) and Arthur J. Ehrenbeck. He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II, and was employed first as a stenographer for the New York City District Attorney’s Office, and then later as a certified court stenographer for the State of New Jersey, Bergen County Court House. After retiring, he was a volunteer at Pascack Valley Hospital for over 20 years.

Yorktown Teen Charged In Theft Of Motor Vehicle Following Crash
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 15-year-old Yorktown resident, whose name is being withheld due to his age, on a charge of juvenile delinquency in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle.
Police responded to the theft on Sunday, Dec. 27, officials report.
Subsequently, the vehicle was found in North Salem, having been damaged and abandoned as the result of an accident, according to police.
An investigation revealed that the suspect had allegedly stolen the motor vehicle, operated it and had an accident with it, police report.

Nyack Woman, Florida Motorist Charged With DWI In Orangetown
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Orangetown police arrested two women for separate incidents of driving while intoxicated during the holiday weekend.
In the first incident, which occurred at 2:48 a.m. Friday, Orangetown police arrested Mary T. Sodora, 51, of Nyack, officials report.
Sodora, who was operating a 2013 Kia, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation and, when she failed sobriety tests, she was arrested for DWI, according to police.
