New Canaan's Grace Farms Offers Assault Prevention Courses For Women
NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The Grace Farms Foundation is hosting a course designed to educate women and girls on how to reduce their chances of becoming victims of assault and domestic violence.
The class, which includes a self-defense demonstration, will address the prevalence of sexual assault on college campuses, and the impact drugs and alcohol have on student behavior.
The course will meet twice a week for five weeks for an hour-and-a-half each day. The first class is scheduled to meet on Jan. 12, 2016, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

SoNo Branch Library Offering Tech Assistance To Norwalk Community
NORWALK, Conn. -- The SoNo Branch Library is offering patrons the chance for individual assistance with technology-related needs.
The facility’s “Book a Librarian” program begins on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and will run weekly throughout the month.
During the sessions, librarians will be available for 45 minutes of one-on-one assistance with e-books, e-mail, smart phones, iPads, laptops, Internet, Google searches or Microsoft Word.
Available time slots include 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:15p.m.
The service is free and open to the Norwalk community.
