Learn To Design Earrings At Lewisboro Library Workshop SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Lewisboro Library is holding an earring design workshop on Monday, at 7 p.m. The course, which is open to adults and teens, is led by Joan Loyd, who donates over 500 pairs of earrings each month to women's shelters. Participants are asked to make and donate one pair of earrings for each pair they keep.

Darien Sixth-Graders Support Students In Paris After Terror Attacks DARIEN, Conn. -- Sixth-grade students in Jeanne Wyland's French classes at Middlesex Middle School in Darien recently used their writing skills to create cards expressing their sorrow and sympathy in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris. The students have also worn the colors of the French flag in a show of solidarity. The cards will be sent to a Parisian middle school, in hopes that they will bring comfort to fellow students.

Old Tappan Welcomes Northern Valley To Menorah Lighting, Festival OLD TAPPAN, N.J. -- The Jewish communities of Old Tappan, Norwood, Harrington Park, Northvale and Rockleigh will unite for a Chanukah menorah lighting and festival at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The community will light a 9-foot tall menorah at Oakes Park in Old Tappan. The event is open to the entire community and will include live music, entertainment, dignitaries, guests, Chanukah gelt, latkes, donuts and more.
