Body Found After House Explosion, Fire Rips Through Bloomfield Home Authorities have retrieved a body following a Connecticut home explosion.  The explosion happened after 6 p.m. Monday, March 9, at a home on Banbury Lane in Bloomfield, the fire marshal said. Neighbors told reporters the boom rattled windows and shook their houses.  Firefighters arrived to find the house completely engulfed in flames.  Crews recovered the body a little after 1 a.m. Tuesday, but they had not identified the victim.  The blast and ensuing fire caused a power outage that left nearly 1,000 homes without electricity, according to Eversource.
