Wade Meeker, of Danbury, died Thursday, Jan. 15, after his Nissan Rogue collided with a Dodge Challenger at the intersection of Route 34 and Maiden Lane in Seymour, police said. Man Shot Multiple Times In Bloomfield, Drives Himself To Hospital For Emergency Surgery A man was rushed into surgery after being shot multiple times Tuesday evening, Jan. 20, in Bloomfield. Neighbors called 911 to a home on Elizabeth Avenue around 8:30 p.m. after hearing gunfire. Police said several vehicles were involved, and one man was shot in the chest, side, and arm. The 40-year-old man left the scene in a red car and drove himself to Hartford Hospital, where he was admitted for life-threatening injuries. Police believe there are no other victims.
