$50,000 In Jewelry Stolen From Connecticut Post Mall In Smash-And-Grab Heist Robbers made off with $50,000 worth of jewelry in a heist at the Connecticut Post Mall over the weekend, authorities said.  Officers were called to the Milford mall before 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, to reports of gunfire, police said. Those reports turned out to be incorrect. There had been a robbery.  However, as police investigated, they learned that thieves entered the mall through the Macy’s entrance, smashed three jewelry cases, stole the items inside, and then sped off. No injuries were reported. Authorities have not released any further information.
