Hamden Man Guilty Of Repeatedly Sexually Abusing Girl He Knew Over 8 Years: State A Connecticut jury has found that a 48-year-old man repeatedly sexually abused a girl for more than eight years, authorities said.  Corey Baker, of Hamden, was found guilty of sexual assault in the fourth degree and risk of injury to a minor, the Office of State's Attorney announced on Friday, Dec. 5. Judge Peter L. Brown, who presided over the trial, will also sentence Baker in February.  Baker knew his victim and began abusing her when she was just 6 years old. It continued until she was 14, prosecutors said.  Authorities did not disclose how Baker knew the victim.

Windsor Locks Woman Killed In Head-On Suffield Crash; Other Driver Taken To Hospital A head-on collision in Suffield has left one woman dead, authorities said.  Carol M. Breton, 77, of Windsor Locks, died after her sprinter van crossed the double yellow line in the area of 367 East St. South and collided with an oncoming sedan around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Suffield police said.  Paramedics rushed the driver of the sedan to Baystate Hospital.  The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is investigating the crash.

Police ID Man, 38, Killed In Head-On Crash In Wallingford; Second Driver Hospitalized Authorities have identified the 38-year-old man who was killed in a head-on collision in Connecticut this week that sent another driver to the hospital.  Jason Miller crashed his Saab on Grieb Road between Leigus Road and Fairlawn Drive in Wallingford just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, Wallingford police said.  Miller was driving west when his car collided head-on with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Miller died at the scene, and paramedics rushed the 74-year-old Jeep driver to an area hospital for treatment.
