Pedestrian Killed On I-95 In Stamford After 4 Cars Hit Them; 3 Drivers Sped Away: Police Police say they are working to identify a pedestrian who was killed while walking on I-95 during the busy morning commute after four vehicles struck the person, and three of the drivers kept going. The crash was reported at 6:24 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, on I-95 North just before Exit 6 in Stamford. Police do not know why the pedestrian was walking on the interstate. Connecticut State Police said the first vehicle struck the pedestrian, throwing the person onto the left side of the highway. Two more vehicles hit the pedestrian soon after. None of them stopped. Fairfield Man Charged With Sexual Assault After A Month-Long Investigation: Police Authorities say they've completed a month-long investigation and have arrested a Fairfield man accused of sexual assault.  Daniel C. Suozzi, 43, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 20, on the charge of sexual assault in the first degree and was released on a $50,000 bond, Fairfield police said.  Authorities did not provide many details of the alleged crime but noted that Suozzi knew the woman who accused him.

Body Found In Norwich Park ID'd As 18-Year-Old Authorities say they have identified the body of a teenager found in a Connecticut park earlier this week.  Quincy Perez, 18, was found in Uncas Leap Heritage Park in Norwich around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18.  Norwich police have said they do not believe Perez died of any foul play and continue to stress there is no threat to the public.  Police, however, did not provide any details of Perez's death. Investigators have notified his family. Uncas Leap Heritage Park remains open to the public.

Portland Man Who Sexually Assaulted 8-Year-Old Gets 5 Years Behind Bars: State A judge has sentenced a 37-year-old Connecticut man to spend five years behind bars after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old, authorities said.  Justin Rowen, of Portland, was convicted of risk of injury to a minor and sexual assault in the fourth degree in September, the Office of State's Attorney said.  A judge sentenced him this week to 10 years in prison, but that will be suspended after five, the prosecutor said. He must also serve 10 years of probation after his release.  Prosecutors said the assault happened in the fall of 2022.
