Man, 74, In Critical Condition Following Waterbury Hit-And-Run Crash Waterbury police are asking for tips after a 74-year-old man was left in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday night, Oct. 22.  Police responded to 835 Wolcott St. in Waterbury around 10:20 p.m. and found the man suffering life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Man Killed In Milford Homeless Encampment Fire Was Victim Of Homicide: Medical Examiner The death of a man killed in a fire at a Connecticut homeless encampment earlier this year has been ruled a homicide, according to the state  Joseph Kane, 57, of West Haven, died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries he received in the Aug. 15 fire at an emcampment in Milford, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said on Wednesday, Oct. 22.  The fire broke out in a wooded area behind the Lowe’s store on Old Gate Lane.
