Norwalk's Theodoridis: Still Got Game Norwalk's Theodoridis: Still Got Game Norwalk's Theodoridis: Still Got Game
Norwalk's Theodoridis: Still Got Game Dan Theodoridis took a screen pass from Justin Floody and raced downfield Sunday in a touch football game at Norwalk High's Testa Field. A few people watched from the stands as Theodoridis' team, Pastime Athletic Club, defeated Tucci Lumber, 14-0, in the semifinals of the Norwalk Recreation and Parks League playoff game. That snapshot from the game stood in stark contrast to where Theodoridis stood May 31. That's when Dan, a Norwalk High grad, helped Duke defeat Notre Dame, 6-5, in front of 37,126 people in Baltimore. Theodoridis, a senior defenseman, cracked the starting lineup as a senior …

Trinity Girls Win City Showdown vs. Stamford After scoring 13 points in the first half, Stamford High School tossed a blanket on Trinity Catholic's Mackenie Griffin in the second half of Wednesday's season-opening girls basketball game. With the game on the line, the Crusaders' junior center re-emerged to grab the biggest rebound and score the deciding points. Griffin rebounded Erin Sottosanti's miss and coolly sank a short jump shot with 45 seconds left to give the Crusaders a 41-40 victory over the Black Knights in a Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference game. Trinity built an 11-point lead early in the second half bef…

Darien Field Hockey Kept It Light Numbers tell the story of the Darien High School's field hockey team over the past three years. But they say  nothing about the personal qualities of the 13 seniors whose tenure with the Blue Wave proved so enjoyable for coach Mo Minicus. "They had strong personalities, but in a great way,'' Mo said. "What I'll probably most remember about this class is that at any given moment, one of them would make the situation so funny. They always brought some type of personality to the field. As good as they were, they kept it light and they kept it fun." Darien's seniors walked off the field on No…
